Muzyka iz Handala*
We have accomplished recording our second CD. This time two village musicians of the old generation were included, Vujko ** Voloschin and Vujko Maljutschuk.
* Handal is a settlement far from a village up in the mountains
** Vujko is a name for a grandfather
1. Zustrich – Meeting (1:18)
Spontaneously sealed "Kolomijky", sung by Vujko Voloshin, accompanied by Vujko Vasia (Jew's harp) Mischa (violin) and Vasja (Baraban).
2. Chardash (4:30)
This song comes from the time when Transkarpatia was a part of the Habsburg empire. A young man receives the order to go on war and ask his father to replace him. In the end, he calls the musicians to play a Chardash for him as a good bye.
„ As the guys started to play the Chardash, my eyes filled with tears ... “
3. Pade dosch – It’s raining (3:05)
The family has attached a sign to the door of the young girl which should forbid to the young men to visit her. Angrily she has removed it and sings: „ Come to me, fellows, from the evening up to the morning “
4. Horilochka (ukr. Vodka) (6:14)
„ White-white vodka,
I have enough of you“
The alcohol damages not only the health:
„ I have spent on you my last three (Trojak, tsarist coin), and you have done an idiot from me... “

7. Hutsulochka (0:59)
Vujko Maluychuk plays the banger made by himself.
8. Kosovka (3:02)

“When I was small
my mother fondled me
Now I am already big
And need a man”
11. Cherez pole – Through the field (3:51)
Lovely lyric transcarpathian song. A girl is asking a fellow why he didn’t come when the night was bright with the moon?..

After these rhythms it is danced in Nyzhnye Selysche.
14. Na potochku m prala – I was washed a laundry in the river (3:04)

Our first CD "HUDAKI" was done in 2003.
1. Lischanova (2 :19) An ancient melody from the hamlet Lyschany, near Nyzhnye Selysche. The melody came to our generation from Ilyanka, an inhabitant of Lyschany. She sang this melody on every party, she changed only the text.
2. Vysyt’ jabko (3:43) The law of Newton in the Transcarpathian interpretation: ripe apple must fall down from the tree, and the girl must get married.
3. Zabrids’ka (3:23) This is a merry wedding song written down in the village Zabrid’. One of the local guests sang it very nicely and asked musicians to play it. After this a song was included to the repertoire of Hudaki.
4. Komaryk (3:03) Humorous song about tragic love between a mosquito and a fly.
5. Moldavanka (3:25) Why my mother forced me to marry a drunk, not my dear lover?
6. Zveedsy ye gora (4:00) A lovely western-ukrainian song-waltz where there is a dialog between lovers. Boy compares his dear girlfriend with a bright star.
7. Kruchenyy (3:02) During generations transcarpathian musicians added their melodies to this dance. Misha played it the very way how he learned it from his grandfather.
8. Pryydit’ khlopci (3:07)
A lonely village girl doesn’t know how to seduce boys and tries to propose them fresh water, cherries and more…
9. Revana (3:51) “Oh God, my young life is losen like the leaves of the oak in the late autumn”
10. Polyana (3:58) When the nature is nice the girls are better… They don’t need any make-up, just a water and a lover who brings this water.
11. Len zelenyy (3:25) “Why did you give me, my mom, blue eyes?”
12. Beelya reechky (3:17) Young girl asks the river why she doesn’t have a beauty.
13. Hudaki (3:52) A village life is shown in the song. Here you can meet a lot of village stereotypes and Hudaki as well.
14. Arkan (4:34) A mountain men’s dance of Ukrainian “Robin Goods”
15. Voloshyno (3:25) A Pole, local Rusin and Hungarian men, all from Transcarpathia, are dancing together. But there is no place in it for a Voloch.
16. Dole moya (4:11) Unofficial anthem of Nyzhnye Selysche. “Oh my destiny, where have you disappeared?”
